Schützen-Festhalle is a mid-sized Oktoberfest cozy tent which was themed after clubs in the 1800’s, but the present tent was newly built in the year 2004. Since its redesign, it has maintained its traditional geranium flower planters and a wooden frame Biergarten was also added in 2006. This Oktoberfest tent has a hall for crossbow shooting clubs to host their championship, and due to this, only half the space size is allotted for seating.
The crowd in this Oktoberfest tent is comprised of a slightly older Bavarian crowd, though members of nobility also celebrate in this tent, and charity events also take place here. Music band you will be hearing is “Niederalmer”. In addition to this, atmosphere is more on the traditional side, and is not as wild or loud as all the other tents.
Schützen-Festhalle tent is famous for its mouth watering suckling pig which is prepared in malt beer sauce with potato salad on the side. This is truly a heartwarming and delicious meal. No wonder lots of guests visit this tent for its well-known luscious food and good entertainment. Seating capacity is only indoors and can accommodate 4,442 people.
Löwenbräu, or “lion’s brew” is the beer served inside Schützen-Festhalle tent. Clear light gold in color, the aroma is mild and grainy, with a slight malty sweet flavor and slight bitterness from the hops.
