NEWSFLASH: The official Oktoberfest 2026 beer prices were announced today by the city of Munich, with a Mass (1 Litre) of beer costing between 14.80 EURO and 15.90 EURO in the various beer tents. This represents an average price increase of 2.38% over the previous year.

Always a contentious issue in Bavaria – the announcement makes headline news in Bavaria – festival goers are expected to tip between €1 and €2 to the waitresses and waiters that serve it on top of the sale price of a Liter of beer.
The average prices of non-alcoholic beverages per liter are 11.13 EURO (2025: 10.95 EURO) for water, 12.84 EURO (2025: 12.48 EURO) for Spezi ((50/50 mix of cola and lemon soda) and 12.25 EURO (2025: 21.11 EURO) for lemon soda.
The upward trend in beer prices is almost certain to continue for the 2027 Oktoberfest, mainly due to the rising costs associated with hosting the festival.
